Reading: B. S.
This is a
very interesting reading. Although trying to be open to the reading,
B. S. was having a hard time and I noticed in listening to the
tape how I spent almost all the entire session attempting to reach
her.
This is not
surprising considering the subject matter: "I want more closeness
but I am not willing to trust anyone." This was an issue
that B. S. did not want to acknowledge. For me, one of the most
difficult types of readings is when the readee is closed off and
doesn't think they are.
The reading
begins with her shut down Mercury fingers (folded over, almost
touching her palms) and her widely broken heart line. I tried
to move into the subject through a long story that had nothing
to do with love relationships, hoping to establish some trust
with her as her reader, with limited success as you will no doubt
notice. Considering her high set Jupiter finger, perhaps her dignity
was threatened.
The blemish
on the Mount of Venus barely shows upon the print, but was definitely
visible on her palm, although it seemed to have been there a long
time and the color had faded into the palm.
By the time
the reading was about half way through, it was apparent to me
that this was not going to be a normal reading. I wasn't going
to be telling her something about her fingers, thumb, major lines,
and then her fingerprints. The reading had a life of its own and
wouldn't let me off the topic of her heart.
As you will
hear, I had some difficulty placing her heart line in any of the
four categories, that there are some forks going up to Jupiter
that barely show on the print that lead me to discuss her Donna
Reed type (curvy / Jupiter) heart response. The print looks more
like a long, flat (Michael Caine) type heart, which in retrospect,
is probably her dominant response type.
B. S. has
a strong Fate line, but a short, curving Saturn finger on her
left hand (not apparent from the print) indicating a strong inner
sense of duty, but one that does not translate into purpose over
time (at least, not on her own behalf). This aspect of her, feeling
one way and giving messages very different, is one of the themes
of B. S.'s reading. Despite her insistence to the contrary, it
was my impression that she never did hear me when I spoke about
this.
On the fingerprints,
I used the left Jupiter as the dominant theme of the Life Lesson,
but I also added in some flavor from the right Mercury because
the loop here was squeezed. These two zones together (left Jupiter:
personal power, right Mercury: communications in the world, speaking
out) came out as her Life Lesson being: "Standing Up For
Yourself."
